Gabrielle Gregory has worked with Osborne Cawkwell Tuition for the past ten years and has accrued 6000 hours of tutoring experience in this time.
Gaby teaches all four of the 11 Plus exam disciplines: English, Maths, Verbal Reasoning and Non-Verbal Reasoning. She always adapts her teaching style to get the best out of her student’s personalities and abilities. Gaby finds it is particularly important at this age to engage and motivate her students in the present moment’s tasks. To this end, Gaby often incorporates games and activities into her lessons alongside work with books and past papers.
Her 11 Plus students have gained entry to: Westminster, City of London (both the boys’ school and the girls’), Highgate, U.C.S., Latymer Upper, King’s College School, North London Collegiate School, South Hampstead, Putney High, Francis Holland, Channing, Queens, Brighton College, Mill Hill, Wetherby, Ibstock Place and Notting Hill and Ealing School.
Gabrielle Gregory is an 11 Plus specialist tutor. She covers English Comprehension (both Standard and Multiple Choice), Creative Writing, Maths and Verbal and Non-Verbal Reasoning. Gaby works through a range of comprehension materials with her students; helping them understand what is being asked of them, how to approach the question and how to give a strong answer. Similarly for Maths and Reasoning, students complete practise papers from many different publications – learning the methods and techniques required for completing these questions, developing their skills and capacity for lateral thinking as they go.
For Creative Writing, Gaby helps students develop their thoughts, memories and imaginations. Students create detailed, structured and descriptive pieces of writing of both fiction and non-fiction. Gaby utilises a wide range of literary techniques to ensure student’s writing is vivid, engaging and persuasive.
Gaby also aids children’s general development at this age. For instance, additional support if a child has fallen behind, or simply to supplement their learning at school. She ensures students perform to the best of their abilities.
