Most of the tutors on our books live in London. However, when we are asked for nationwide tutoring, we often arrange for a private UK tutor to travel out of London to work with students.
In order to make this viable for the tutor, the minimum lesson time is 2 hours (but you can also book 3 or more hours).
For families who live further afield than the home counties, a day of tuition is a very popular option. Normally 4 hours of tuition are broken by lunch. These placements often happen at the weekends and during half-terms and holidays.
As well as paying for the tutor’s journey to and from your home (by train or car. Petrol at 30 pence per mile), nationwide tutoring incurs a surcharge. This compensates the tutor for the time they spend travelling out and back into London.
If we cannot arrange a tutor to travel to you, you can benefit from the skills of a private tutor in the UK with online tuition.
