Pre-U Philosophy & Theology
The Pre-U Philosophy & Theology exams are set by the Cambridge International Board, CIE. More and more schools are choosing for their students to sit the Pre-U exams either instead of, or mixed with, A Levels.
The Pre-U Philosophy & Theology qualification encourages learners to think rigorously about fundamental questions of truth and human understanding. It also introduces learners to the academic study of philosophy and theology. Furthermore students will develop the ability to identify, select and apply ideas through evidence from recognised sources of authority, evaluating different points of view.
A Pre-U Philosophy & Theology tutor through Osborne Cawkwell will help students develop a range of transferable skills, such as the ability to debate, analyse and evaluate arguments, as well as present their own arguments in a clear and logical manner. Finally a tutor can also help with essay writing skills and work through past exam papers, ensuring students are fully prepared for the exams.
