The Pre-U Latin exams are set by the Cambridge International Board, CIE. More and more schools are choosing for their students to sit the Pre-U exams either instead of, or mixed with, A Levels.
The Pre-U Latin qualification has been developed to bridge the gap between school and university. It also equips learners with the skills needed to progress to university courses in Latin. Furthermore the syllabus encourages learners to read more widely, by studying Roman writers in both the original Latin and in translation and by reading modern works of critical scholarship.
A Pre-U Latin tutor through Osborne Cawkwell will help students hone their grammar and vocabulary to the required standard. Finally tutors will help students work through past exam papers ensuring they are fully prepared for the exams.
