The IB Philosophy Diploma Programme forms part of Group 3 – Individuals and societies and is available at higher and standard level. The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme is an assessed programme for students aged 16 to 19. Furthermore the course is respected by leading universities across the globe.
The IB Philosophy course is focused on stimulating students’ intellectual curiosity and encouraging them to examine both their own perspectives and those of others. Students are challenged to develop their own philosophical voice and to grow into independent thinkers, in addition to engaging with some of the world’s most interesting and influential thinkers.
An IB Philosophy tutor through Osborne Cawkwell will help students develop a range of transferable skills, such as the ability to debate, analyse and evaluate arguments of others as well as present their own arguments in a clear and logical manner. A tutor can also help with essay writing skills where necessary and work through past exam papers to ensure students are fully prepared for the end of year exams.
