GCSE English Literature
GCSE English Literature requires students to read a whole range of literature with sound understanding and fluency whilst making thematic connections and analysis. Students will need to read critically and be able to discuss their ideas, appreciating the depth of the literature and its influences on society both in modern and historical times. GCSE English Literature students will be studying texts that include at least one play by Shakespeare, a 19th century novel, a selection of poetry since 1789 and a fiction or drama from the British Isles from 1914 onwards.
GCSE English Literature tuition through Osborne Cawkwell can help deepen a student’s understanding of the text they are studying, help them compare texts and develop their writing skills to improve grades. A tutor can prepare students towards any of the main GCSE examination boards as well as the IGCSE specifications.
