I’ve been teaching since 2005 and have significant experience as a Drama and Theatre Studies Tutor. In teaching 16+ Drama and Theatre Studies, I’ve helped students, particularly those coming from abroad, catch up with the practical and theoretical elements of theatre studies, and offered a compact history of theatre guide for students new to the subject. I’ve also coached those who have had to prepare speeches or audition pieces as part of the entrance exam process. I also have considerable experience teaching the GCSE and A-level courses. I’ve worked as a visiting lecturer at Royal Central School of Speech and Drama (University of London) and taught and directed on the classical theatre strand of the MA Acting course. I’m artistic director of my own theatre company – Les Foules Theatre – and I make work with a company of performers from around the world. I recently directed Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing at the National Theatre of Uganda and co-produced an award-winning show in London’s underground tunnels called The Vaults. As a teacher I’ve encountered students from many different social and cultural backgrounds, and have helped children and adults achieve success in a number of different disciplines. I’m originally an English graduate and also really enjoy teaching English Literature and Language at all levels. I’m half French and like to visit my family there, and make the most of France’s delicious cuisine and it’s beautiful coastlines.
