4. Snoopy and Charlie Brown: A Peanuts Movie

Charlie Brown fans will be very happy as he, along with the rest of the beloved characters, make their way to the big screen for the first time. The story follows Charlie as he tries to turn his life around by reinventing himself after a new girl moves to town. As always, things don’t go to plan and he’s going to need the help of his best friend, the lovable dog Snoopy. Commemorating the comic strip’s 65th anniversary, ‘Snoopy And Charlie Brown: A Peanuts Movie’ is good, wholesome family fun and will show that every underdog has his day.

3. Sisters

Not quite as wholesome as Charlie Brown, but sure to bring a bellyful of laughs, ‘Sisters’ is a fun comedy starring the sublime comic talents of Tina Fey and Amy Poehler. The duo play two very different sisters, Maura (Poehler) the calm and collected one, and Kate, the wild one. After discovering their parents are selling their childhood home, they decide to throw one last party before they have to clean it out. 2. The Good Dinosaur

Remember that 1990s sweet romantic film, ‘Sliding Doors,’ which explored how a single occurrence could alter a person’s destiny? Well, the Good Dinosaur is a bit like that, except that it’s animated and about dinosaurs! The film is an exploration of what the world would be like if an asteroid hadn’t hit our planet 65 million years ago and the dinosaurs survived. The film is centered around a very cute dinosaur called Arlo, who becomes separated from his family and ends up befriending a human cave boy named Spot – fun and frolics ensue as they embark on a wild journey. It’s also interesting to observe the dynamic between the two with Arlo being the more well-spoken one and Spot being more feral.

Release Date: It’s been out for few weeks, 27th November.

1. The Force Awakens

The seventh film of the epic Star Wars series that gave you Jar Jar Binks and the cult phrase, ‘may the force be with you’, is back. The Force Awakens is set thirty years after Hans Solo and his allies defeated the Galactic empire. The crew now face a new danger from dark warrior Kylo Ren and his army of stormtroopers. Not much else has been revealed about the highly secretive plot, but with the return of iconic characters like Luke Skywalker and princess Leia (now a general) alongside new characters Finn, Rey and Poe Dameron, it is sure to be a mammoth hit and spawn an endless supply of Disney merchandise.
