Stella Duncan-Petley has been a private tutor with Osborne Cawkwell Tuition for the past twenty years. She has worked with us since completing a degree in Physics at King’s College, London.
Stella has worked with a great number of students preparing for their 7 Plus and 8 Plus Entrance exams in all areas, including: Maths, English, Verbal and Non-verbal Reasoning. Stella Duncan-Petley is a specialist entrance exam private tutor. She has successfully helped students gain places at the following schools: Bute House, Westminster Under, Colet Court and Sussex House amongst others.
Stella has tutored with a wide range of students, of all abilities and needs. Stella has also frequently supported those with Special Educational Needs. One such student was an able boy with ADHD, which affected his ability to focus. He also had fine motor skill problems which meant he had difficulties writing legibly. Stella and her student worked really hard on his handwriting and he improved greatly. He passed the entrance exam to Westminster Under and Stella continued to support him right through to the end of Year 6.
Stella builds a positive relationship with all of her students. She understands the importance of being able to connect with them. Stella also works hard to adapt the style of her tutoring to suit the individual in front of her to get the best results.
