Patrick Wilson began teaching Economics and Business Studies at a UK boarding school after receiving an MA(Hons) in Economics from Edinburgh University. He went on to achieve the highest exam results in the school’s history for A level Economics.
Learning needs to be fun and Patrick’s students would describe him as an original, different, and quirky Economics tutor. While working in education he has created many different learning models, frameworks and approaches to learning.
Patrick Wilson is a highly skilled and experienced Economics tutor. He has taught students with differing needs across all the main examination boards. Patrick also tutors Economics across all exam years from GCSE right through to Undergraduate level.
He is a talented A level Economics tutor and IB Economics tutor. Each academic year Patrick takes on a new cohort of students with a range of needs and abilities. Students having A level Economics tuition with Patrick also benefit from his experience in writing private tutor training manuals and exam technique courses. In addition, Patrick has developed material aimed at helping students with learning difficulties, in particular for those with AD(H)D and Dyslexia.
Economics is one the most exciting subjects in the world right now, for today’s economists will create tomorrow’s world. Patrick’s focus is on transitional learning, e.g. how you get an underperforming student who is a poor writer to a student who creates essays of a consistently high standard.
